Our teacher, Mr Oldfield challenged us to figure out when the following contest ended,  http://threeacts.mrmeyer.com/25billionapps/.  I started by recording how many apps had been downloaded at 6:27, 6:28, 6:29 and 6:30.

6:27          24,658,507,818

6:28          24,658,542,166

6:29          24,658,576,266

6:30          24,658,610,451

I then took the number I got for 6:28 and subtracted it from the number I got for 6:27. Then I took the number I got for 6:29 and subtracted it from the number I got for 6:28. I did the same for 6:30 and 6:29. I then add those numbers and divided them by three. That’s how I got the number of downloads per a minute, 34,211. After that, I took 25,000,000,000 and took away the number of download i got for 6:27, 24,658,507,818, and got the number of downloads left, 341,389,549. Then I divided the amount left by the downloads per a minute and got 9,979. 9,979 is how many minute it is until the contest ends. I then divided 9,979 by 60 to find out how many hours until the contest ends and got 166 hours and 19 minutes. Then I divided the hours by 24 to find the days and got 7 day and 19 minutes. I added that amount to the first time I took information and got March 2 at 6:41. I would start downloading at about 6:00 pm.
